Conversations with Annelise Jarrett

In this edition of “Conversations with…” we sat down with Annelise Jarrett in our Employee Benefits Department, to learn more about her career and her life outside of work.

  1. What is your favorite part about your role at Cavignac?

I love being able to solve problems for clients and their employees. Employee benefits can be intricate, though there is much fulfillment in navigating challenges, simplifying complex issues, and ensuring employees have access to quality healthcare.

  1. What is one thing people would not know about you by just meeting you or looking at your resume?

People may not know that I come from a family of farmers + ranchers – though I’ll talk about it at any chance I get. I was raised on a farm in Northern California, which gave me a strong work ethic + deep connection to nature. Although I’ve lived in cities throughout my adult life, I feel most like myself when I’m outdoors.

  1. What advice would you give your younger self?

My younger self was very focused on having it all figured out! I would love to tell her to slow down + be patient. Life is short, but it is also long; there is so much time to settle into a career, change homes or cities, and be a grown-up! The best gift I could give myself is time to enjoy my current phase of life before hurrying onto the next.

  1. What is one way that you have grown personally or professionally since joining Cavignac?

It’s impossible to measure the growth that’s transpired since my start at Cavignac. The most meaningful has been through the example of those I work with. I’ve had the privilege of learning from colleagues who have set my standard of leadership, professionalism, and integrity. While I’ve developed a strong foundation in industry knowledge, the most valuable lessons have come from conducting myself professionally – communicating effectively, building relationships, and working with a high standard of excellence. Being surrounded by such strong role models early in my career has been invaluable.
