The primary duties of the Risk Advisor consist of:
Sales & Consulting
- Create your Personal Excellence Plan with the Sales Manager and President.
- Identify, develop and nurture relationships with prospects and centers of influence.
- Leverage a system to maintain contact and add value to prospects, centers of influence and clients on a consistent basis.
- Deliver sales presentations to prospects and clients on new and renewal business.
- Adhere to Cavignac’s TotalRISK Approach sales process.
- Provide risk management/loss prevention advice to prospects and clients.
- Cross-sell the agency’s services.
- Ask for referrals from centers of influence and clients to generate new business.
- Participate in team sales situations with other Risk Advisors and support personnel.
- Proactively work on upcoming renewals to ensure services are completed in an accurate and timely manner.
- Assist in marketing accounts when having key relationships and/or product expertise.
- Review proposals prior to meeting with clients.
- Work with the team to design insurance plans and recommend coverages to clients.
- Document all material conversations in Epic with insureds and/or carriers regarding coverages and exposures.
- Maintain accurate client information while adhering to company SOPs.
- Resolve claim, billing and late premium problems while accurately documenting in Epic with service records (when required).
- Work with the team to ensure coverage adequacy and identify Cavignac resources needed to service client needs.
- Develop a profitable book of business for the agency and carriers.
- Execute the Personal Excellence Plan to ensure that the objectives are achieved.
- Take initiative for learning and improving technical and sales skills regularly.
- Attend and participate in sales meetings.
- Manage workload and relationships while consistently hitting monthly sales goals.
- Attend client related professional association events along with insurance association and company events.
- Understand and comply with agency SOPs, Customer Service Standards, and the Employee Handbook.
- Deliver presentations for professional associations, community events, partner webinars, etc.
- Join and participate in non-profit organizations throughout the community and sit on at least one Community Board.
- Maintain positive relationships with Cavignac employees and partners.
Qualifications
- Must hold and maintain current California Property & Casualty License.
- 4+ years experience as a Property & Casualty Risk Advisor (Preferred).
- Proven success record in achieving sales objectives and numbers.
- Attained a Bachelor’s Degree (Preferred).

First year salary is based on a variety of factors including a Risk Advisors’ transferrable book of business, years of experience, etc. and is negotiable. It typically falls between $60,00 – $110,000+. Annual commissions and bonuses do not have a limit as they are dependent on the Risk Advisor’s capability to generate new business.

Summary
Provide service to clients in conjunction with the Risk Advisor or Executive Client Manager while providing assistant level support to the team members per the Client Administrator job description. Become familiar with all of his/her clients and is responsible for service provided to the assigned customer accounts, ensuring that the client is well serviced.
The following details a general list of duties, qualifications and abilities for this position. Training, resources and continuing education will also be provided by the company to ensure that the new team member is able to accomplish the requirements of the role.
Duties
- Able to successfully complete Client Administrator duties, and backup as needed, for account servicing needs during the policy year including but not limited to: binders, certificates, evidence of property, auto ID cards, motor vehicle records, endorsements, invoicing, audits, claims, cancellations, policy checks, etc.
- Manage the new business and renewal process; review risk management surveys. Identify exposure to loss and advise client on appropriate coverages.
- Develop marketing plan with Executive Client Manager and/or Risk Advisors and insureds. Complete submissions to market new and renewal accounts to insurance carriers. Prepare proposals, negotiate coverage terms and pricing. Work with underwriters to obtain additional information from clients.
- Work with the Risk Control Department to monitor complex or significant risk control and claims issues.
- Conduct contract and lease reviews to advise client on risk and compliance issues.
- Maintain positive client and insurance company relationships.
- Explain payment requirements to new and existing clients.
- Oversee, direct, plan and schedule the work of others. May train and give technical supervision to client service team members.

Summary
The Client Administrator (CA) assists the client service team in servicing and retaining of Commercial Accounts. They work to ensure that client retention goals are met by responding promptly to requests per service standard timelines.

- Assist Client Managers with insurance reviews:
- Compare the insurance requirements to the coverages on the existing program.
- Obtain quotes on coverages needed to comply with contract insurance requirements.
- Assist Client Managers in the renewal and new business processes:
- Order loss runs from insurance carriers.
- Prepare and/or update renewal surveys and proposals.
- Send applications to the clients.
- Request or process binders, auto ID cards, invoices, finance agreements, etc.
- Responsible for integrity of policy data on Agency Management Systems.
- Comply with and follow corporate workflow procedures and guidelines.
- Provide outstanding customer service and teamwork and seek to improve whenever possible.
