Carolyn Konecki

Carolyn is a professional risk manager specializing in personal insurance for successful individuals and families. She is an expert at customizing coverage to protect tangible assets such as estate homes, luxury vehicles, collector cars, watercraft, aircraft and collectibles, such as jewelry, art, wine and antique furnishings.

She specifically looks at exposures as it relates to a family’s tangible assets and possible liability resulting from those assets. Her approach is very thorough and she consults with clients regarding ways to minimize their risks and reduce potential losses, either from physical threats such as wildfire, water leaks or theft or online threats.

She is committed to building relationships, educating her valued customers and providing exceptional service. As an independent agent with access to all the affluent insurance companies, she’s able to match her customers with the best company for their situation, offering the best insurance value. Carolyn is extremely solution oriented and can find coverage for any type of risk. She can write personal insurance in all 50 states and few foreign countries.

Carolyn graduated magnum cum laude from the University of Southern California in 1985 with bachelor’s degree in business and an emphasis in management. At the time, she was a part owner in a chain of gift shops in the Los Angeles area. After moving to San Diego in 1990, she started a marketing agency. She sold that business in 2000 and became the in house marketing manager for a large privately held business. She was recruited into the insurance business in 2004, when she joined her husband, John, at Konecki Insurance. After that agency was sold, she joined Cavignac to start their Private Client division. Carolyn received her Certified Private Risk Manager designation in March, 2018, the first person in San Diego to achieve that designation.

Carolyn is very involved in the San Diego community and is a member of several professional and charitable organizations including the San Diego Women’s Foundation, La Jolla Real Estate Brokers Association, Provisors, Casa De Amparo, Voices for Children and South Bay Community Services.
