Biography
Chris Malicki has over 30 years of boots on the ground construction and related experience, spanning a career as a construction Laborer, Heavy Equipment Operator, Estimator, Project Manager, and business owner. As an “A” licensed General Engineering contractor, he has performed work for local public agencies including utility infrastructure work with an emphasis on sewer, water, and storm drainage systems. Chris is competent in the areas of fall protection, scaffolding, confined space, trenching / excavation, and silica hazards.
In addition to his work experience, Chris has shared his expertise with the industry through his work for Pacific Safety Center, SMART Safety Group, the Associated General Contractors (AGC) and as an approved UCSD OSHA Training Institute Outreach Instructor. Chris’ professional safety designations include CRIS, OHST, CHST, and COSS.
Chris serves as full-time Safety Risk Advisor at Cavignac, in addition to his part-time role with Pacific Safety Center and the AGC San Diego Apprenticeship Program.
Chris has served the San Diego Chapter of the American Society of Safety Professionals (ASSP), as Chapter President and is currently serving as Chapter Treasurer.
