After graduating from UCLA with a Bachelor of Science in economics in 1980, Jeff joined Industrial Indemnity Insurance Company as a Casualty Underwriter before moving to the brokerage side three years later. In 1992, he decided to start his own company and formed Cavignac & Associates.

Jeff’s vision was a brokerage focused on risk management, exceptional client service, and a culture of putting the client’s interest first, always. He knew the company could only be truly successful if the people working with him were successful as well. This principal has been an integral part of Cavignac’s culture since day one.

Today, Jeff serves as Managing Principal of what has become one of San Diego’s largest independently held insurance brokerages. “I’m proud of what we’ve accomplished and the value we bring to our clients and insurance partners. Our business model is unique, the goal is to lower our client’s cost of risk and help them drive dollars to their bottom line. Our success is directly tied to my partners and co-workers and our shared focus on the company’s mission, vision, and values.”

When he’s not managing risk or negotiating coverage for his clients (he’s a self-proclaimed insurance geek), Jeff enjoys traveling, cycling, wine, reading, and spending time with his family.
