Biography

Matt specializes in the creation, implementation, and management of employee benefits programs for growing businesses that want the best experience for their people. His unique approach is designed to help organizations control their costs and get the most value out of their benefits program. He spent five years in the financial services industry before he joined Cavignac in 2007 and became a Principal of the agency in 2016. Matt is an active member in the San Diego Association of Health Underwriters (SDAHU), Bruin Professionals, and the Surfrider Foundation. He is a graduate of the National Alliance for Insurance Education & Research Producer School and has earned designations as both a Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) and Registered Health Underwriter (RHU) among others. Matt graduated UCLA with a bachelor’s in sociology. During his time there, Matt helped lead the men’s volleyball team to three NCAA championship titles. Matt is a native of San Diego and when not working, still enjoys playing volleyball, golfing, traveling, and spending time with his family.
