Biography

Natalie Sherod is a Principal and Risk Advisor at Cavignac, specializing in construction, real estate development, manufacturing, and distribution. She works closely with privately held companies to design insurance and risk management programs that protect their businesses, support growth, and improve their overall risk profile. Her approach extends beyond placing coverage and includes claims advocacy, safety, human resources, and other practical strategies designed to reduce risk and control long-term insurance costs.

Natalie joined Cavignac in 2019 after spending nearly 12 years with Liberty Mutual, where she served as a commercial lines underwriter and senior territory manager. Her underwriting background gives her a valuable perspective on how insurance companies evaluate risk and allows her to help clients position themselves more effectively in the marketplace. She holds the CPCU, CRM, and CIC professional designations.

A graduate of San Diego State University, Natalie is actively involved in the San Diego business and nonprofit communities. She serves on the boards of Meals on Wheels San Diego County and the Charlie Elenore Foundation and is the serves on the board of CREW San Diego. Outside of work, Natalie enjoys spending time with her husband and their two children.

Biography

Natalie brings nearly 12 years of industry experience to Cavignac. She is responsible for maintaining relationships with existing clients, handling renewals, and prospecting for new sales leads. She provides risk management advice and recommends insurance vehicles and appropriate levels of coverage to closely held corporations throughout Southern California.

Prior to joining Cavignac, Natalie served as senior territory manager and commercial lines underwriter for Liberty Mutual in San Diego. There she managed a $50 million territory made up of 35 independent agents, with premium sizes ranging from $600,000 to $9 million.

Natalie earned a Bachelor of Science in psychology from San Diego State University. She enjoys donating her time to local charities and finding ways to connect with the San Diego community. She currently serves on the board of the San Diego Chapter of the CPCU Society. In her free time, she loves spending time with her husband and two young children.
